Alice High

MISSOULA - Alice L. High, 92, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009, at her home in Missoula of natural causes.





She was born March 7, 1917, at her home in Stevensville to Albert F. and Eva A. Heath. She graduated from Stevensville High School in 1935. She attended St. Patrick School of Nursing and graduated in 1938. She worked as an RN at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena.





Alice married E. Allen High. To this union, two sons were born, Roger L. and Stanley A. High.





Alice joined the Stevensville Methodist Church when she was 9. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for more than 60 years.





Survivors include her two sons, Roger (Lucy) High of Leming, Texas, and Stanley (Connie) High of Missoula. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband E. Allen High; a sister Martha Heath and brothers Raymond, Chester, Leonard and Gilbert Heath.

A private family service will take place at a later date. The family suggests memorials may be made in Alice’s name to Partners Hospice, 2687 Palmer St., Missoula, MT 59808. Cremation and Burial Society of the Rockies assisted the family with arrangements.
