Alise Lonija Kadzejs, 89 of Missoula passed
away October 12, 2015 at Beehive Homes of natural causes.
She was born May 19, 1926 in Talsi, Latvia. She
immigrated to the United States in 1950 with her
husband Oskars Kadzejs.
On September 9th, 1948 she married Oskars Kadzejs in
Munich, Germany. The couple lived in Spokane,
Washington for over 40 years where Oskars worked
for the Federal Government as a meat inspector.
Lonie worked hard taking great care of their
sons and the household. She enjoyed keeping her
yard beautifully landscaped, talking with her
Latvian friends, cooking and singing in the
Latvian church.
She moved to Missoula in 2012 where she lived
at Grizzly Peak Retirement Residence and then
Beehive Homes.
She was preceded in death by her husband
Oskars and her sister Paula of Latvia.
Survioris include her sons Eriks of Sandpoint,
Idaho and Andris (Claudia) of Missoula.
Grandchildren Cacy (Travas) Faulhaber, Talis
(Jessie) Kadzejs, Rudy (Carli) Kadzejs and
Andra (Andy) Derrickson. Along with several
great grandchildren.
A special thanks to Beehive Homes and Rocky
Mountain Hospice. Also her good friends Wendy
Linden and Elsie Cohen.
