Our beloved Adelaida Hernandez passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. While her death was unexpected, we are grateful that when she left us, she was able to be with her family.
Lala was born on July 6, 1982, in Mount Vernon, Washington. Her family moved to Missoula MT in 1996, where she grew up and worked at the family restaurant, El Cazador.
It is impossible to capture a person in just words, but these are a few descriptions from her family and friends. Lala was hilarious, warm, fearless, and resilient. She was feisty and outspoken but would do anything for anyone and always lit up the room with her smile and sense of humor. She could and would talk to anyone, and when you were in her company you wanted to stay. She was adored as a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and mother. Being loved by Lala was a constantly astonishing gift.
Lala loved her family, friends, kittens, puppies and the world. But more than anything else, she loved her three sons,
Lala was taken too soon, she was a great heart with a strong will and a beautiful soul that the world lost, and can never be replaced.
Lala is survived by her three sons, Devantee, Ethan, & Juan; her parents, Alfredo and Maria Hernandez; her brother, Edward Hernandez and Stephanie; her niece, Quinn: Her sister Isabel Hernandez: and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins,
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anna Maria Vasquez, Jose Guadalupe Vasquez, and Adelaida Herrera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Saint Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.
