The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Lefler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Tamped In

When I was a kid I used to ride a horse down from 911 Reserve to "visit" the Leflers. One day, while he was gone, Bill senior had us digging post holes for a new corral. This was a heavy duty corral with railroad ties for posts. So, after we got a few dug it occured to us that a person could fit down in there. So, one of the neighbor kids "volunteered" to crawl in. So, BJ, his brother Dave and I figured we'd tamp him in. It was quite a while till we noticed the sun was get'n to him and we should dig him out.

Now and then I think of those days with the fight'n chickens and such.   Rest in peace BJ.

Your Friend,

Herb Monk
